I so wanted to see Les Miserables when it came out in theaters, but I felt I'd like to read the book first. Has anyone read this nearly 1000 page book? I tell you I'm riveted. The book is definitely a classic with huge lessons to learn.
I am almost half way through. It has taken me two months to get there. Mr. Hugo is worse than an old woman with an anecdote. The actual chapters that tell the story keep me going - can't put it down, but the chapters that divert off into tangents and back story are killing me.
I will finish the book, because the real story is sensational, but his hints and tips and helpful information make getting to the point a never ending process and are making me Les Miserable.
