During our imprisonment, someone had a birthday. We couldn't get to the grocery store, so I went with one of my specialty box mixes. It was a hit. Sparkler candles were essential as this birthday was a Big One. Just sayin'.
We made The Zebra Cake from Ace of Cakes, Duff Goldman series. It was kind of fun. Martin was impressed. I learned the technique to make the stripes and I think I could easily copy it with a homemade version. In fact, I know I will.
The Happy Birthday banner went up with the Christmas ornaments. I decided to leave it up all throughout the season because we have another birthday next week. Hopefully we won't be under house arrest for that one too.
