The Work Progresses

 I bought this bunch of greenery when I lived in Las Vegas - uh, that was a loooong time ago.  Probably ten years before I MET Martin.  It has traveled with me for a while.

 I had been planning on dumping it, but I noticed that the branches were a little "spooky".

 Looks like we've found a mate!

 This was actually the scariest part.  I was not sure what I would find at the bottom of the basket.  Whew!  No spiders.

 I separated them and laid them on the newspaper and sprayed each side with a black semi-gloss.

 I entwined them with some orange lights and stuck them in the pot.

 The boys thought this was the best part - fog.

 It's a little large, but I think it has nice presence.

 Caught it just as the sun was going down.  Not bad.

OOOh, after dark.

Tomorrow I paint the door and go on a pumpkin hunt.
