It's Over!

The school year is over!  We are now in our first day of summer break.

Yesterday, Henry's class graduated from the fifth grade to the sixth grade, which means he will be attending middle school in the fall.

I only saw part of Henry's End of Year Celebration and certainly didn't get any pictures.  I am Hayden's room mom this year and I was in his classroom setting up for their End of Year Party.  Things weren't coming together, so I was late to Henry's show.
At the end of the day, our school has the Flag Lowering Ceremony.  Henry was asked to be the lead scout.  I tried to get in close, but it was so crowded!  Ugh.
This is a zoom-in.  Nice back of the head shot.
I finally pushed my way through the throng of moms and got this picture of him folding the flag before he handed it to the principal.
I zipped back to Hayden's class because he wanted me to take a picture of him with Mrs. Kane, his teacher.  He said, "I want to miss her this summer."

After we loaded the car with all their end of year stuff, we dropped Henry off at his Fifth Grade Pool Party sponsored by the parents for the graduating class.  His first big boy/girl party.

Hayden and I went over to the middle school and got Henry's band instrument for his summer instruction.   I am so excited for Henry to advance to middle school.  He is really looking forward to being a little more grown-up.

It's all happening so fast.  Sigh.
